As an artist I am adept at using conceptual and creative thinking to produce a wide range of images, from graphic design to illustration and painting. My abstract paintings reflect the human emotions of love and strife, especially as shown through elements of nature.

My preferred painting medium is acrylic paint, which I find more flexible to work with than oils, and I like to fill my color palette with the colors found in nature. My compositions use defined edges, strong shadows, texture and overlapping strokes to convey the passion in love or strife.

Living in Southern California I am able to enjoy being outdoors year-round, and this is reflected in my work. I like to portray the human elements that I see in nature, such as branches that appear like embracing limbs. The ideas behind my paintings often come to me when I am running outdoors connecting with nature and listening to music. I see an image as if I were watching a movie, and then I return to my studio to create a painting that reflects this thought.
